TSF called everything except for the two questions involving the birds. In the opening number, all 6 birds from the "One Sentence Birds" sketch are present, and in the closing #, it's WhaddyaSay Bird, YouKnow Bird, OhReally Bird and RightOn Bird. Also, the Electric Mayhem is playing backup in the closing #, I forgot to list them earlier.

Hortense- Louise
Goat- Steve
Big Mama- Louise
Dr. Frush- Frank (just a scream)
Pig backup singers- Louise, Steve, Jerry

Opening number animals- don't know, haven't decided; Steve would probably play the penguin, the rest don't have solos.

The remaining characters, whatnots and such, don't speak.

And yes, the bird dancers are the same ones from the Leo Sayer and Liberace episodes, who were (as you say) danced by the Royal Ballet dancers.

Saw your reference to creating Piggy's mother in the "Tips for Writng Fan Fiction" section and immediately thought two things--I'd have to read it, and I'd have to read it with one eye closed (like watching a scary movie). Doing people's mothers, which are always sacred cows, er, pigs, is always a difficult thing, and I'm usually leary of attempts, but you did a fantastic job (and I'm very protective of my girl, Piggy). I totally enjoyed the entire episode, and while Hortense was certainly over the top, she wasn't over the top of our muppets. Well done, David. Kudos. (And apologies for adding to your AGES OLD post.

Thanks.

And why should you apologize for adding to an old post? I love feedback!

Adding to another old post-

Gorgon, I really love your outlines, they're very true to the show. But I do have one or two problems with this one.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love it. Your voices for the characters are excellent, and I love the little Backstory you've given Piggy (And her middle name. Hamabelle? Hysterical.) But the biggest problem with the outline is, for a third season episode, the interaction with the guest star is very "first season", meaning he doesn't appear backstage abnd only interacts with the muppets in his dressing room or onstage. But other than that.....I love it.

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Of course, not every third season guest had a James Coco level of involvement, either- Leo Sayer, Roy Clark, Pearl Bailey, Liberace, Marisa Berenson, Helen Reddy, and Cheryl Ladd didn't appear backstage either, save for the dressing room. But I also don't have any dressing room scenes for Johnny, and the only guest who had neither backstage nor dressing room scenes in the first part of Season Three was Roy Clark. My bad.

But I'm glad that you liked it outside of that. This is one that I'd like to go back and revise at some point, esp. since toward the end I wasn't adding anything to Hortense's character and I feel I was pushing her dialogue past the point of credibility.
