That Animal puppet really is an original Pelham puppet but its in shocking condition, looks like its been left in the sun to fade and its also lots its eyebrows and wooden controller. I picked up the exact same puppet but in excellent condition in England with no missing parts (eyebrows) it looks much nicer than the one on ebay.
