YES!!!!! That's what I forgot. The new Radiohead. I can't wait. In a world full of crappy music, Radiohead can always be counted on.

I just picked up the new Manson, and I must say, it is probably the best CD I've heard in a long, long time. Definitely a contender for his top album.

I'd recommend it, but so many Muppet fans have voiced their anti-Manson feelings that I guess it would be kinda pointless, heh.

I want to check that out. I think TRAIN is coming to Erie this summer - it's Pat Monahan's hometown! It was pretty exciting to see a local guy on the Grammys last year!

U2

Hopefully they're coming out with something later this year. Of course, that's what I kept hearing for all of 2002...but with Bono doing all his humanitarian schmoo and being nominated for Nobel Prizes and such I don't know how much he's been doing with the band.

Come home and play some music, Bono!!!

There's a Jimmy Fallon comedy CD that's out "The Bathroom Wall," but I don't want to buy it. I'm hoping our local liberry will get it in soon.

Other than that, I'm not too excited about anything on the horizon.

:sing: :halo: :flirt:

I found the lyrics to couch potato

Couch Potato
------------
Parody of "Lose Yourself" by Eminem

Look... If you had one shot
to sit on your lazy butt
and watch all the tv you ever wanted
until your brain turned to mush,
Would you go for it? Or just let it slip? Yo!

Remote is ready, eyes wide, palms are sweaty
The Flintstone's on the TV already
Wilma and Betty
No virgin to channel surfin
And I'm HD ready
So I flip, garbage is all I'm getting
There's Simon Cowell
Who folks wanna disembowel
He opens his mouth, always says something foul
They're dying, Wow!
Wannabe's are crying now
He votes them out
Time to throw in the towel

Show's based on reality
Oh the humanity!
Oh! Ozzy's family!
Sho' loves profanity!
Whoa! The insanity!
Oh! Dogs that crap and pee
Home of depravity?
No! They live happily

Yo! Plus "The Ali G Show"
And "Celebrity Mole"
Oh there's Anna Nicole
She's scaring me
Look ma, no cavities!
Oh! It's a station break
Better go out to the kitchen and microwave something

You're gonna lose your mind watchin tv they told me
They scold me, but I still tune in every show
My cable gets C-SPAN, TV Land and HBO
The Travel Channel, Discovery, and Lifetime

(You're gonna) lose your mind watchin' TV they told me
Cajoled me, "Turn off those music videos!"
Gonna watch C-SPAN TV Land and HBO
The History Channel and QVC and Lifetime

My butt is aching as I watch NASCAR racing
That show about undertaking
Larry King to "24" to "Law and Order"
The Weather Channel's boring like 60 Minutes
Ancient reporters next up on "E True Hollywood Story"
The rise and decline of twelve actors named Corey

Shows for next fall, they've already been naming
"CSI: Boise", and "Touched By An Uncle", both sound prettying lame, man
so does "Everybody Tolerates Raymond"
and "King of Queens" jumped the shark the first minute
I can't believe Richard Simmons ain't in it.

I move right on to "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenaged Daughter"
Then I bet I watch "The Bachelorette"
Followed by "Welcome Back, Kotter"
And "The Muppet Show" where they go "Mahna Mahna"

You're gonna lose your mind watching TV they told me
They scold me but I still tune in every show
My cable gets C-SPAN, TV Land and HBO
The Disney Channel, and A&E and Lifetime

(You're gonna) lose your mind watching TV they told me
Cajoled me, but I still love Lisa Kudrow
I'm looking at C-SPAN, TV Land and HBO
The Playboy Channel and Court TV and Lifetime

Never missed "Melrose Place" or "Lost in Space"
I've seen each "Amazing Race" and "Without a Trace"
But I only watched "Will and Grace" one time one day
Wished I hadn't cause TiVo now thinks I'm gay

Oh and "Fear Factor" I watched maybe a half hour
After that felt like I needed a long shower
Network execs with naked ambition
Next week on FOX, watch lions eat christians

Like to tie up those programming planners
Make'em watch all of that junk 'til their heads explode just like "Scanners"
Leech covered grub eatin' fools on Survivor
Look there's James Lipton discussing the oeuvre of Mr. Rob Schneider

And there's Gilligan and SpongeBob plus there's MacGyver
And Jay Leno has got Madonna and hey there's Luke Perry
And a special all pig-latin episode of "Drew Carey"

Wanna turn on ET cause I'm a gossip freak
And I gotta know who J. Lo is marryin' this week
A 30 second spot then we go back to "Are You Hot?"
I was planning on recording "The Sopranos". I forgot!
I love shows with or without a plot
I stare 'til my legs are numb, my eyes bloodshot
Because I only have got one brain to rot
I'm gonna spend my life watching television a lot

(You're gonna) lose your mind watching TV they told me
They scold me, but I still tune into every show
My cable's gets C-SPAN, TV-Land, and HBO
The Sci-Fi Channel and AMC and Lifetime

(You're gonna) lose your mind watching TV they told me
Cajoled me, "Turn off that Oprah Winfrey show!"
I got it on C-SPAN, TV Land and HBO
The Learning Channel and MTV and Lifetime

You can watch anything you want to, man.

hehe that's interesting.....can't wait to hear it!

Speaking of new CD's, I finally bought the debut album from Luce; and god is it good! Musically, the album is awesome: very melodic yet has a great sounding beat to it, kinda like OAR (If you've heard them), but a lot less of a reggae element. If you like Coldplay or Five for Fighting (Two of my other favorite bands), I highly recommend Luce.

well heres my review song by song of Poodle Hat

1. "Couch Potato," parody of Eminem's "Lose Yourself"-----great song....one of his best parodies

2. "Hardware Store"-----good....great show of vocal skills

3. "Trash Day," parody of Nelly's "Hot in Herre"-----ok...I think a better topic could have been picked

4. Party at the Leper Colony-----I'm not sure about this one.....it didn't strike my fancy, yet...but I think it'll grow on me

5. "Angry White Boy Polka," parody of Papa Roach's "Last Resort," System of a Down's "Chop Suey," the Vine's "Get Free," the Hives' "Hate to Say I Told You So," the White Stripes' "Fell In Love With a Girl," the Strokes' "Last Nite," Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness," Rage Against the Machine's "Renegades of Funk," Limp Bizkit's "My Way," Staind's "Outside," Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba," P.O.D.'s "Youth of the Nation" and Eminem's "The Real Slim Shady"-----a polka? what more must I say?

6. "Wanna B Ur Lovr"-----almost too 'normal'!

7. "A Complicated Song," parody of Avril Lavigne's "Complicated"-----HILARIOUS....the first verse is a tad crude...but it is soooo funny

8. "Why Does This Always Happen to Me"-----I thought it was funny...but some might take offense

9. "Ode to a Superhero," parody of Billy Joel's "Piano Man"-----it's nicely written, but I'm not a fan of the song

10. "Bob"-----interesting...not a big Bob Dylan fan...so I got about none of the jokes

11. "E-Bay," parody of the Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way"-----a CLASSIC parody....the ending is tooo funny

12. "Genius in France"-----this song is tooo long.....but the last half is really good....so a bit of the first should have been edited....

so my faves....

I like 3 of the parodies.....Couch Potato, A Complicated Song, and E-Bay

for original...I like hardware store...the lyrics fall perfectly into place

a great CD GO PICK IT UP!

The humor is mostly in the palindromes (such as, "UFO tofu" and "Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog").
