He and Statler both fall in love with Valerie Harper and decide to flip for her. Presumably they mean to flip a coin, but Statler actually flips himself in the air and Waldorf tells him he's won. Later at the end of the show Waldorf is practicing his flips and ends up in the predicament you see at the bottom of the page.
