A poem for your enjoyment:

What will happen when the forum is gone?
Where will everybody go?
What will everybody do?

What will happen when the forum grows still?
Will anyone know or care?
How can a place that feeds off posts survive if there are no posts to eat?

What will happen when the forum turns out its lights?
Will it make a sound or stay silent lurking in the darkness of the unknown?
What monsters lurk in those shadows?

What will happen when we all leave?
Will the forum fall into a void?
Will the forum just disappear?

What will happen when the forum dies?
Will it be reborn?
Will it rest in peace?

What will happen when the forum comes undone?
Will there be pieces left?
Will we be here to see it?

What will happen when the darkness comes?
Will it take the forum by surprise?
Will it fight the forum face to face?

What will happen when the forum is gone?
Where will everybody go?
What will everybody do?

I created this poem to ask the questions that everybody asks themselves at one point or another. These questions are often asked and can be asked about many different topics(like the muppets). The answer is this:no one will know until it happens so sit back and watch the show.

Now I give this thread to you. You can comment on my poem. Or speculate on the answers to these questions. Or come up with poems of your own, about about the muppets(if you have non-muppet poems this thread is also in General Discussion and you can post them there), and post them here. So have fun, and live life to the fullest.

I like making people think, some questions just need to be asked. And I like confusing people too, it's funny to see that confused look on peoples' faces.

I'd dive out a window, I can tell you that much.

No seriously though. I've become obsessed over the last two or so months. Obsessive compulsive disorder, can't help it. This is the same reason I have every record released by Elton John in duplicate.

glaglio, there you go confusing me again... why does this remind me of "You're wearing shorts and the walls are yellow, therefore I am Moses"?

And if MC disapeared, I would... um... have absolutely NOTHING to do. And I would... um... well, it wouldn't be good, I'll tell ya that much...

The End, by B. Regard

A wave of code, a data blip,
An error, I'm sorry, please wait.
A star streaking silent against black,
Lurking strings of html.

A screen hangs blank,
Dusty keyboard, broken hinges,
The use is gone from computer desks.
No point to wake,
Why turn it on?
The hard-disk rests in slumber, dead.

A cloud passing o'er the sun,
A stranger jogging, brushes your elbow,
A sea of faces weave on crouded streets,
And one or all, or none, or some,
Are friends you've never met, and always known.

An internet scare, parents shutting the forum,
Too many children, talking too much,
And safty may fail, it does not, but could,
So the end comes quickly, black eyes under a hood.

Good night Muppet Central. Will this happen to you?

Well...that was strange...

Hey, that's good...

I will parody one of my favorite songs to explain what will happen if MC dies.

"A long, long time ago... I can still remember how
That forum used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance,
That I could make those people laugh,
And maybe they'd be happy for a while.

But February made me shiver,
With every post that I deliver,
Bad news for the muppets...
There'd be no more puppets.

I can't remember if I cried
When I read about when Henson died
But something touched me deep inside,
The day the forum died.

Soo..Bye, bye Muppet Central Forum
I clicked my mouse on the forum but the forum was dry
And good ol' boys were saying goodbye
Singing this will be the day that I die
this will be the day that I die

Did you write a fanfic thread
And do you place faith on Brian's head
If the forum tells you so
Do you believe in Muppet Radio
Can music save your mortal soul
Then you can teach me to dance real slow

Well I know that you're obsessed with it
'Cause I saw you posting on the net
You kicked off both your shoes
Then I dig those rhythm and blues

I was a lonely teenage postin' freak
With a pink computer and comfy seat
but I knew that I had lost the beat
The day the forum died

I started singin'...

Bye, bye Muppet Central Forum
I clicked my mouse on the forum but the forum was dry
And good ol' boys were saying goodbye
Singing this will be the day that I die
this will be the day that I die

Now for 10 years we've been on our own
The dust goes thick on our posting zone
But that's not how it used to be

When The Count wrote fanfics for MC
In a coat he borrowed from Dr.Teeth
Reading posts that came from you and me

And while Beau was looking down
A thief stole his thorny crown
The forum was adjourned
No verdict was returned

While Dee read a book on Dole
Lisa ate Peanut butter from a bowl
And we sang dirges in hole
The day the forum died

We were singin'

Bye, bye Muppet Central Forum
I clicked my mouse on the forum but the forum was dry
And good ol' boys were saying goodbye
Singing this will be the day that I die
this will be the day that I die

I met a girl who wrote the blues
And I asked her to post some happy news
But she just laughed and went away

I clicked on the MC forum
Where I'd seen the muppets years before
But the man there said the muppets wouldn't post

And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried and the poets dreamed
But not a word was posted
Not a member boasted

And the three men I admire most
The Count, Beau, and Fozzie Bear
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the forum died

They were singin'

Bye, bye Muppet Central Forum
I clicked my mouse on the forum but the forum was dry
And good ol' boys were saying goodbye
Singing this will be the day that I die
this will be the day that I die

Hehe MC all the way.
