What would you like to see in Season 37?

I'd like to see more classic clips, mostly Bert and Ernie sections.
  2. mikebennidict New Member

you're not going to see more old clips than from what you see now.
  3. TotallySpiesFan New Member

Okay, then, how about if non-Sesame Muppet animals and monsters from Jim Henson's productions would make cameo appearances on "Sesame Street"?
  4. mikebennidict New Member

there's nothing wrong if yoy wanna see the older stuff. my point is it's just silly to keep saying every year you wanna see more old clips when it's unlikely it will happen.

TotallySpiesFan's idea sounds cool...for instance, the fraggles should make a guest appearance..

  6. Is it silly to keep wishing every year for more than 26 episodes?

Don't you think more than 26 episodes per season is a little much? Anyway, here's what I'd like to see in season 37 (if possible)

    • More Journey to Ernie
    • More Grover (and not just Global Grover)
    • More Global Thingy
    • More new Ernie and Bert skits
    • More street scenes with Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar, Ernie and Bert, etc
    • More Kermit without the "Kermit the Frog is TM of The Jim Henson Company"
    • Less Elmo (like I said, no need to cut him, but dwindle him down a BIT)
    • Less Telly, Baby Bear and Zoe (but no need to cut them either)
    • An episode set in the fall (tree are red and orange, and leaves everywhere)
    • An episode set in winter (snow, snow and mo'snow!)
    • And how about some new original Elmo's World instead of repeats of old ones we've seen a million times!

How about a new intro called "Animal of the Day"? It would feature each guest star with some Muppet animals. Here are some:

    1. Sheeps
    2. Cows
    3. Horses
    4. Pigs
    5. Lion
    6. Tiger
    7. Elephant
    8. Monkeys
    9. Bear
    10. Rhinoceros
    11. Birds (TMS ones, if possible)
    12. Kangaroo
    13. Snake
    14. Rabbits
    15. Camel
    16. Frogs
    17. Penguins
    18. Chickens
    19. Turtles
    20. Wolves
    21. Fish
    22. Seal
    23. Shark
    24. Alligator
    25. Turkey
    26. Zebra & Giraffe

It was so nice to see Kermit stuff still being used once in a while on SS. Today I tuned in and there he was in Ernie's tub doing "de rubber duck". I also had a though...it is really cool to see Ernie and Kermit in scenes together. Maybe its just me, but I find it fun.

    sesame street classics

I think it would be great to see a regular feature called sesame Street Classics, featuring three old segments in a row. maybe they could be introduced by a specific character, or maybe the characters should alternate. Or maybe just a quick opening that says Sesame Street Classics. these could include a muppet sketch, a film sketch and an animated sketch.

in addition, i would like to see:
*new letter of the day segments hosted by different characters (besides cookie monster).
*I would like for journey to ernie and global grover to alternate every other episode. whenever journey to ernie isn't shown there should still be an ernie sketch, and whenever global grover isn't shown there should be a grover sketch.
    *more herry monster.
*the return of characters such as biff, sully, sherlock hemlock, fat blue and guy smiley, even if only in inserts.
*kermit the frog outside of Do De Rubber Duck.
*more classic characters in the background.
  11. No, I don't think more than 26 episodes is a little much. It would keep me into it longer. However, if they made only 26 episodes and mixed the current season with reruns like every other TV show, would that be Ok?

    I would like to see...

    MORE ERNIE & BERT!

Classic Jim Henson / Muppet Clips from the early 70s - Late 80s

    Less Elmo

More Guy Smiley, Sonny Friendly, and Don Music. Take the risk! LOL!

and some special guest spots with Kermit :) , but that will probaly never happen anymore. Saddly.

    More people

My daughter is almost 9 months old, and just started becoming interested in Sesame. She loves seeing the puppets (with Cookie being a fave) and really enjoys the musical numbers.

I would like to see more of the original cast, or any people for that matter in the next season. Part of the magic of Sesame Street is that people and puppets live there together.

Oh, bring back SAM the robot please.

if they cant show the classic skits new skits of th classics. New mosnterpeice theaters or remakes of soem fo the old ones. new grover's like new grover as waiter skits and new grover as the sales man im sure they can find someone to take kermits spot as the person haveign the stuff sold to. new b and e skits the humor ones would love to see berts classic faint with ernie laughing :p :(

id also like to see some favorite muppets come back like the amazeing mumford, guy smiley, ect

and not cut out elmo but cut out elmos world spin it off so it dont have to crap up the rest of ss. It might be running down because this season they only had 5 new ones made maybe next year none willb e made or shown.

ps. if ss ever would make new grover as the sales man skits who would you think make the best kermit replacement

I would have to agree with you, with a couple exceptions, Get Rid of Journey to Ernie and Elmo's World Altogether. Also show more Snuffleupagus, and in general more characters in each episode and more scenes on the actual street.

Fat Blue, Prarie Dawn and Oscar The Grouch would make good choices (oscar could keep refusing to buy what grover wanted, and grover could unintentionally embarrass oscar). If they weren't performed by the same person, Bert would make a good choice as well (although if Sesame Workshop can get Frank Oz, maybe he could perform one of them in such a skit).

another Salesman Grover encounter that would be funny, even though it would be unlikely (especially now), would be if grover went to leftys house to sell him something, only to learn that lefty is selling the same product. maybe lefty could trick grover into buying the exact product that they are both selling. While most of the things that lefty sold are pretty much useless (even less than some of the things grover tried to sell), he has occasionally sold products worth buying, like a painting (which only cost a nickle, and I thought the painting would have been worth at least five dollars).

fat blue would be good. i mean you can even have a shock to see grover. then after its all said and done a funny line for fat blue could be first the restarant now this. why dont he jsut leave me alone
  19. minor muppetz Well-Known Member

There was a skit where grover was a wig salesman who came to Fat Blues apartment to try to sell fat blue a wig.

I wonder what would happem if Grover was a customer at wherever it is that Fat Blue works at. Who would be the victim?

I'd like to see a LOT less talking to human kids segments.... they have always dragged into nothingness...., not the Muppets talking to kids segments, I mean the filmed inserts of kids talking about stuff...

Less Telly? Shell no! We need more Telly, as in more Telly with Oscar (I loved that episode a few years back when they went on the grouch roadtrip). Personally, I'd like to see Elmo's World eleminated alltogether from the show, and become a smaller show of it's own, sepperate , but that'll never happen. I'd like more than 26 eps as well... but PBS would never do that. I just hope not to see the same layout of how the episodes are aired as they are this year. Sure, it keeps some episodes fresh, but it makes the others all the more stale.

As for older inserts, I doubt anything before the late late 80's or 90's would ever be used again. But I'd like to see less Ernie's Show and Tell (I guess they are using less of them, but I can't tell until I see ALL season 36 episodes) and less solo Ernie/Ernie and Elmo type skits.
