Yeah. I heard about Jerry's daughter passing away at a young age. I think it was recently after she appeared in GMC. That's really sad. Though I'll admit I'm not sure about the whole story of what happened.

I read somewhere that Jerry's daughter, Christine, died in her late teens or early twenties from Cystic Fibrosis. I'm sure Jerry was devastated after it happened. :sympathy:

That's why I named Gobo's daughter after her just for Jerry Nelson.

I head that Christine never actually had a chance to see herself in the movie so it may have been earlier than that unless I'm thinking of something else.

    What dose that mean?

Well, I think I heard that she died before the movie came out so she's never seen it. But I could be wrong. Hey, I was wrong once in 1987 so it's possible. Lol.

    No you're not!
When I read Jerry Nelson's interew on Muppet central I get really confused.
Because I know Jerry Nelson had a daughter but in the interew says that Jerry had a step daughter that why that part get me confused.
It's that I don't know Jerry Nelson had one daughter or more then one.?

Yeah. I guess that would be something to look up on Muppet Wiki.

:coy:For those of you interested in pay arrangements. I don't know what pay the Muppeteers are receiving for their work today but I know for a fact Carroll Spinney aka Big Bird/Oscar/and The Anything People was being paid $25.00 an hour. He worked,at first,
3 1/2 days a week, coming in from Woodstock, Connecticut late Sunday evenings, and leaving usually early evening Thursdays to spend time with his family. At that time also though there were Sesame Street toys etc being sold they were not allowed to be on commercials as the show at that time seemed to pull into people who had extremely low incomes and the fear was children would want them and the parents could not afford to buy them. A few years later that scenario changed.
I know anbout this as I was friends with Carroll in the early 70's for about 3 1/2 years. He was a good friend, helped me with a lot of emotional support, often treated me to dinner and lunch and once I was invited to his home for a weekend. I met his family, his children were very young. He brought me to a farm sort of like a zoo and also brought me to meet some friends of his and took me motorcycle riding. I also was invited to the movies with him and his first wife to see a movie probably most have forgotten called "Solvent Green." It was a great weekend for me.
Another time he celebrated my friend Michaels High School graduation, brought us both with another friend to Coney Island. He wasn't on work schedule that day so came all the way out from Woodstock Connecticut to meet us for the ceremony and then drove us out to Coney Island. He treated us to some rides, went on the roller coaster with Michael. He also treated us all to lunch, the day wenbt fast. It was a really great day. Carroll told me later on Coney Island wasn't his cup of tea but he was glad we all had a good time.
This man gave to me and my friends totally unconditionally.
Ubnfortunatly after his first marriage dolded I ended up having a huge crush on him. With all his personal problems at the time, and we all know how devastating that can be, he had to stop being friends with me. A few months later he met his current wife (now married about 40 odd years to),l and that wasit.
I messed up with the crush and everything else going on with me personally and lost a good and wonderful friend. Things happen. But it was a momentous 3 1/2 years for me.
I have never married, but not because of that (LOL). I am a single parent 2x now, and have never been lucky enough to meet anyone who has wanted marriage. Viet Nam took a lot of the good men, and I strongly feel that is the main reason I have never been lucky enough to meet anyone.
I wish I could somehow reunite with hiom but it has been over 40 years and my life has been rocky filled with more downs than ups. I am an artist, and my work has sold but not enough to make a living from it by any means. If anyone is interested you can view my art my doing an online search placing my name in: Eloise Ockert.
Thank-you so much Carroll. Your friendship meant a lo to me and gives me some great memories. I haven't had that many to fall back on as you probably already know. I know at the time I was selfish to some point, obsessive as well but things somehow happen for a reason.
    Thanks.
