I need the advice of people on the forum.

Boober Gorg has agreed to trade me 10 tapes of Sesame Street for my copy of the book Of Muppets and Men. The problem is I don't know what episodes I want. The criteria I'm looking for is episodes that have a large number of classic Muppet skits from the 1970's to early 1980's. Specifically the era of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt as the main Muppeteers. To me there's something special about those skits even when they played AM Muppets. Characters I'm looking for are Don Music, Mr. Hooper, Mr, MacIntosh. What are your recommendations? Boober Gorg maybe you can advise me.

I think you misread my message - I said 10 episodes, not 10 tapes.

For your tastes, here's what I recommend:

1971 - Unpaved #276 (has a rare scene with E&B in Hooper's store)
1974 - #573 (highly recommended if you like the old stuff)
1975 - Unpaved #796 (one of my favorites - has Mr. MacIntosh)
1976 - Unpaved #871 (Mr. Hooper goes back to school)
1981 - Unpaved #1576 (has live cameo by Hunt as a birdwatcher)
1983 - Unpaved #1800 (another favorite of mine)
1983 - #1845 (has skit w/ Don Music, plus "Letter B" by The Beetles)
1983 - #1858 (has Hunt as Captain Vegetable, plus a few ultra-rare Muppet skits)
1987 - #2292 (has Placido Flamingo in several parts, plus "Miami Mice")
1987 - #2313 (has Hunt as Forgetful Jones and Oscar's grandpa, and there's a live cameo appearance by Kevin Clash)
