As a follow-up to the "Who should've been a flying monkey" thread, are there any characters that you think should have been pirates in "Muppet Treasure Island"?

Characters that I think would've made great pirates in MTI are:

-Boppity
-Gloat
-Lenny the Lizard
-Miss Kitty
-the Scoffs
-Snake Frackle
-Luncheon Counter Monster
-Uncle Deadly
-Beautiful Day Monster

What would have been great about that is that he'd be out on the boat, and when Tim Curry announced his plan, he'd go "Hey, that's not nicey-nicey!"

Yeah, Beau would not have made it as a pirate. He is too sweet and nice. If he was a pirate, he probably would have stayed back and helped the good guys instead of going to the island.

Well, as for Beau helping the good guys, in the book there was a pirate on the ship who changed sides. Although I guess they had already referenced that with Sweetums in the fight scene.

Kermit: Well, uh, thank you. But aren't you supposed to be fighting against us?
Sweetums: Are you kidding? I LOVE you guys!

I love how they write things like that for Sweetums as a running gag. He comes across as being so fearsome and then he starts talking and being all friendly and chummy. Its hilarious. Remember the "Whenever I Feel Afraid" sketch on the Muppet Show with Julie Andrews? "All we wanted was your autograph." I guess it shows how your first impressions of someone are not always right they could be nice.
