Well, a year earlier, in Miss Piggy's one appearance on The Jim Henson Hour, when Vicki claims/assumes Miss Piggy dumped Kermit, Kermit starts to claim that they were never a couple.
  3. Pinkflower7783 Well-Known Member

Not anymore though! Kermit has been openly stating him and Piggy are together.

yeah, but then there was also that clip of kermit on reading rainbow, where he's caught and tries to be in denial but it's more than obvious he's lying. i think it was more or less established after their onscreen wedding that they were at least a couple.

The wedding unfortunately was just part of the movie but I'm just happy to see Kermie not being so COY anymore. Lol.

(Probably not the right place, but here ya go)

Does anyone know if the Muppet Read-through will be on the DVD?
There's "A screen-test on the way to the read through," but I don't know if
    that actually includes THE read-through.

yea we heard they filmed it i hope its puppeteers and stars not just more muppet stuff

^Agreed. I want to see more of Whitmire, Jacobson, and the rest of the crew. I'm not five years old. I know the Muppets are performed by an extremely talented group of people, and I want to hear them talk about their work!

yeah, they never get their due really. and there was never any problem with it when it was jim henson or frank oz, it didn't ruin the illusion to know about them or see them working kermit, etc.

Heck, even when I was five I liked watching Muppet documentaries!

Me too. I bet a lot of us were like that. I was four, I think, when that PBS special about Jim Henson came out. "World of Jim Henson" I think. My parents let me stay up past 8 for it. That was serious stuff!

But yeah. The modern Muppeteers are never given their dues. Please give us some interviews with them, and stop forcing the actors/directors/crew to act like Kermit the Frog is a real frog, please. It's fun in publicity stuff, but seriously...

I definitely remember my Mom telling me about World of Jim Henson, I had it on tape for years. When I was even younger I was practically raised on the Henson's Place documentary, that's how I knew who Jim Henson and Frank Oz were, lol. It never ruined the Muppets for me, it was just more to enjoy! :)

I'm just gonna say that The Muppets will always be real to me. :D
  15. heralde Well-Known Member

Oh yeah definitely, I mean it all ties together for me, like they put it at the Fraggle wrap party, "We're the work and play of you who made us real." :)
  16. Pinkflower7783 Well-Known Member

Man I would love to see the day when The Muppets, Sesame Street, and the Fraggles just all get together on one big stage!!! Just like Muppet Family Christmas when the whole gang was there! Talk about making Jim proud ya know?
  17. heralde Well-Known Member

I think the closest thing was Jim's memorial which I'm sure he did appreciate. : )

I know but to show a whole new generation...especially The Fraggles.

Although I think the Muppeteers should have more screen-time, I think it would be funny to watch the Muppets in the read-through. Maybe both performers and Muppets? :jim: I guess we'll just have to wait another painstaking 3 Days!!! *Man, I hope I get it earlier!*:)
