Jim Henson's globally beloved Muppet characters will debut on Game Boy®Advance under a new worldwide licensing agreement with Jim Henson Interactive and the leading children's video game publisher, NewKidCo International Inc. Combining the spirit of the Muppets with the thrills of classic pinball mechanics, Muppet Battle Pinball for Game Boy®Advance is scheduled for release later this year in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of The Muppet Show.

"Putting The Muppets into the hands of long-time and new fans is really a thrill for us,'' said Henry A. Kaplan, CEO of NewKidCo. "These great characters from Jim Henson have delighted audiences for years, and will easily make the transition to the next generation of Game Boy®.''

"We are delighted to offer younger gamers the explosive combination of Muppet mayhem and pinball game play using the powerful Game Boy® Advance system,'' said Craig Allen, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Jim Henson Interactive.

Muppet Battle Pinball features wacky goals and special effects, bringing pinball fun to a new interactive level. Players can select from several Muppet characters, each with unique twists on in-game ball physics. Battling computer-controlled characters, gamers will knock down targets; shoot the ball up ramps; earn progressive bonuses; gain extra balls and even face multi-ball play. The bonuses and power-ups affect the actual pinball as it can split into multiple balls; shrink and pulse with energy to break down walls; take on the properties of fire; or even act as a bomb and explode on the playfield to destroy areas and create new holes. With this new hand-held game, tilting is actually a good thing as it allows players to alter the game board to create a different strategy for play.
