Palisades to produce Muppet Show figures and playsets

In the November issue of Toy Fare #51, Palisades Marketing announces plans for a wide-scale launch of Muppet Show figures and playsets in four waves beginning in February 2001.

The first "wave" of toys will include four figures and two playsets:

  1. Kermit (with banjo)
  2. Miss Piggy
  3. Dr. Teeth
  4. Bunsen Honeydew
  5. A band stage
  6. A Muppet Labs set (with Beaker figure)

Palisades will release four waves of four to six figures each over 2002, making a total of 16-24 total toys.

ToyFare says the toys will be arriving in February 2002, however, Henson.com has confirmed a release date of April 2001. It's possible that the release date changed after the issue of Toy Fare magazine went to press. These figures are a result of a fan survey conducted at Henson.com earlier this year.
