Muppet compilation CD arrives September 17, 2002

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights! It's time to meet the Muppets, on a new CD tonight!

On September 17, 2002, a new Muppet compilation compact disc will be arriving in stores. It will not only contain many of the best songs from "The Muppet Show", but also from the Muppets six feature films as well.

From the all-time favorites of "The Rainbow Connection" and "Mahna Mahna" to "Movin' Right Along" and "The Muppet Show Theme", they are all included in this greatest hits package. Except for John Denver's Christmas album and the soundtracks to Muppets From Space and Muppet Treasure Island, Muppet CD's have been nearly impossible to find in stores since Jim Henson Records ended in 1994.

Three songs from the 1984 film "The Muppets Take Manhattan" are being released on this CD for the first time ever, "Together Again", "I'm Gonna Always Love You", and "He'll Make Me Happy". Several other songs from the first two Muppet Show albums from the 1970's also arrive on CD for the first time like "Bein' Green", "Tenderly", "What Now My Love?" and "Wishing Song".

The working title of the CD is "The Muppets 25th Anniversary Celebration: Who Let the Frogs Out" and here is the tentative track list sent to Muppet Central courtesy of the fine folks at Rhino Records. This track list may change slightly between now and the CD's release in the fall.
