   | Don't
pass "GO" without Sesame Street Monopoly Move over,
Boardwalk and Park Place, I want to own Sesame Street! By Derek
        Stucker, Product Developer for USAOPOLY!June

 The classic
MONOPOLY game play remains the same, but the look and feel of MONOPOLY:
Sesame Street 35th Anniversary Collector’s Edition has been lovingly
customized with all the fun and nostalgia of the ground-breaking show that’s
still entertaining and educating millions today. How
do you get to Sesame Street? Would you believe pass “GO” and
collect $200? America’s favorite street meets America’s favorite
board game in the all-new MONOPOLY: Sesame Street 35th Anniversary Collector’s
Edition! Now Sesame Street fans old and new can buy, sell and trade their
favorite and beloved locations from Oscar’s Trash Can and Big Bird’s
Nest to Charlie’s Restaurant and the Furry Arms Hotel.
 Starting
off with the tiny Twiddle Bug Windowbox, players make their way around
the colorful game board, encountering such coveted properties as Sherlock
Hemlock’s Detective Agency, Super Grover’s Phone Booth, Mumford’s
Magic Shop, The Count’s Castle and Elmo’s World. Boardwalk
and Park Place, the most highly valued properties in the traditional MONOPOLY
game, are replaced by prominent Sesame Street landmarks 123 Sesame Street
and Hooper’s Store. Special Sesame Street transportation takes the
place of the traditional MONOPOLY railroad spaces, from the Sesame Street
Subway and Bus Stop to the Furry Monster Ferry Line—just remember
you’ll be riding Oscar’s Taxi Service at your own risk! Players
buy and sell these cherished properties with new, customized Sesame Street
money. From Super Grover boldly gracing the $1 bill to Big Bird on the “big
money” ($500 bill), favorite Sesame Street characters and their signatures
are featured on each denomination. Street
Smarts cards take the place of MONOPOLY’s traditional Chance cards
while Community Chest is transformed into Block Party. Both sets of cards
feature the same directives as their classic predecessors but now offer
a unique Sesame Street twist. Don’t eat the letter of the day or
you’ll have to go directly to Jail. Sell Oscar your trash for some
quick cash or collect from every player when you sell tickets to Zoe’s
        dance recital. The
platform inside the box features fun trivia and little-known facts about
your favorite Sesame Street characters. Speaking of characters, get ready
to play as Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Super Grover, Bert
or Ernie with his rubber duckie. Custom collectible pewter playing pieces
of the characters allow players to assume the identities of their favorite
characters as they play to “own it all” in this first collaboration
between USAOPOLY and Sesame Workshop. Suggested retail price for the game
is $35.99. MONOPOLY: Sesame Street 35th Anniversary Collector’s
Edition, made by USAOPOLY under license from Hasbro Properties Group this
Fall at specialty stores like Barnes & Noble and Hastings Entertainment.
