Veteran Muppeteer Jerry Nelson is not performing in this film as his classic Muppet characters have recently been recast. Reportedly, Kevin Clash is not performing due to conflicts with his Sesame Street taping schedule. Kevin's characters will likely be looped in post-production.

Sources have confirmed that there is a "nod" to Frank Oz in the script. Hopefully this little tribute will make it into the final telefilm.
