Last December,
Palisdes officially announced that sunny days were ahead as they were
traveling to Sesame Street and releasing
Sesame Street action figures beginning in the summer of 2005.
This week,
fans at Toy Fair in New York City got their first look at series 1 set
to release this summer. Series 1 will include Ernie, Oscar, the Two-Headed
Monster and Guy Smiley. Super Grover will be the first figure available
through the Palisades
Collector's Club beginning in April.
Each series
figure will be released in two versions. One for mass retail which will
include a figure and accessories, and another version for the collector's
market which will include pieces of Sesame Street that you can assemble
yourself. Retailers will be announced later this year.
The following
pictures are prototypes as they are still a work-in-progress.
Palisades
Toys has also officially announced that series 2 will feature: Bert, Count
Von Count, the Yip-Yip Martians and Roosevelt Franklin. A special release
of Big Bird is also planned for later this year.
