Muppet Central News - Sababa Mokey plush coming summer 2006

In 2003, Sababa Toys released two plush Fraggle dolls of Gobo and Red Fraggle. A few months later in 2004, Wembley, Boober and a few Doozers soon followed. But fans have been awaiting the plush of the fifth and final member of the Fraggle five, Mokey Fraggle.

Many expected that Sababa would be releasing Mokey by the end of the year. However last month, rumors circulated that Sababa Toys might not be producing a Mokey plush after all.

Sababa Toys has responded with this official statement on the issue:

Due to the overwhelming number of emails we’ve received regarding a Mokey plush, we would like to set the records straight. We at Sababa Toys are Fraggle Rock fans ourselves, which is why we sought out the license. We WILL be producing a Mokey plush for release in SUMMER 2006. We will be sure to update Muppetcentral.com with all details, including what retailers will be carrying Mokey.

It is unknown at this time whether or not a plush of Traveling Matt will also be released in 2006. Since the plush dolls have been released two at a time, Matt would be a natural inclusion with Mokey.


Order the Gobo and Wembley Fun Pack with the DVD episode "The Best of Blue Rock".		Order the Red and Boober Fun Pack with the episode "Marooned" on DVD.

In the meantime, there are two Fraggle Rock Fun packs now beginning to appear on the market. Each include two min-plush and a bonus Fraggle Rock episode on DVD. Fraggle Rock Uno is also now available. Be sure to purchase these Fraggle products to continue to show Sababa Toys that you'd like to see more Fraggle plush and PVC figures produced in the future.
