Disney plans to revive Bear for 10th anniversary

Syndication of the hit show "Bear in the Big Blue House", a potential new movie and new merchandise is in the works

As many of you may know 2007 will be the tenth anniversary of "Bear in the Big Blue House". The show first aired on Disney Channel on October 20, 1997. Word from sources close to the show is that Disney is planning all kinds of 10th anniversary items that will make fans want to celebrate.

There are several plans to rejuvenate the show's viewer-ship (including talks of possibly airing "Bear in the Big Blue House" via syndication on a new network). Plus there are plans for more DVD releases, a new "Bear" album, some new merchandise and possibly a new traveling stage show.

But wait there's more... rumor has it that the executives in charge of the franchise are considering taking Bear to the big screen with a Bear movie.

There are no solid details finalized on any of this upcoming projects in this renaissance of Bear, but expect big things for the crew of the Big Blue House in '07. Official announcements and details on all these projects are expected to start rolling out early next year.

Get ready "Bear" fans, good things are coming your way. We'll keep you posted as soon as any information on any "Bear in the Big Blue House" projects, merchandise or events surface.
