Muppet Central News - The Muppet Show Season 2 arrives on DVD August 7

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has finally released all the details on the highly-anticipated and long-awaited release of "The Muppet Show: Season Two" on DVD. The four-disc "special edition" set will include all 24 episodes from the second season of "The Muppet Show" along with a healthy collection of bonus features and extras. The DVD box set is planned to hit store shelves on Tuesday August 7, 2007.

Disney reports that the set's bonus features will include the original pilot "The Muppets Valentines Show", a collection of all-new Muppet interviews with Kermit, Gonzo and Rizzo, Weezer's "Muppet Show" music video and "much more". Disney has also released the cover art for the DVD which features an extreme closeup of Miss Piggy (although they say it could be "subject to change"). There will also be collectible packaging featured on the initial printings (very similar to the fuzzy boxes used on the season one set).
