You can't keep a good frog down -- or keep him from singing! The beloved songs from perennial pre-school hit, "Sesame Street," and its band of lovable Muppets that have entertained, educated and enchanted more than three generations are back in a foursome of infectious and engaging new reissued music CDs from KOCH Records. Kids young and old won't be able to resist the catchy and familiar tunes encompassing the best and most memorable music from the multiple Emmy Award-winning series on these charming new "Sesame Street" titles to debut at retail stores nationwide on March 4, 2008.
"Platinum All-Time Favorites," "Kids' Favorite Songs," "Sing the Alphabet" and "Elmopalooza" feature kiddie mega-stars such as, Elmo, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, Oscar the Grouch and Grover performing their signature songs that blend ABCs and 123s with gentle lessons on friendship, the world around them and the joys of singing.
"We're thrilled to welcome 'Sesame Street' into our fast-growing family of quality kid-friendly music CDs," said Veronica Villarreal, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for KOCH Records. "The show is just as relevant today as it was 35 years ago and it continues to be among the top-rated pre-school programs in the country, with songs that are fresh and consistently winning over new fans everyday. No other children's audio catalog has meant more to so many generations."
"Sesame Workshop is very excited to be part of the KOCH family and to be able to, once again, offer these much in demand titles back into the marketplace," said Mike Khouri, Assistant Vice President of Home Video and Audio for Sesame Workshop.
"Platinum All-Time Favorites" features a who's who of Muppets and showcases their unique style and personalities through songs like "Bein' Green" by Kermit the Frog, "Rubber Duckie" by Ernie and "I Love Trash" by (who else?!) Oscar the Grouch. The 20-song CD also features classics, including "The People in Your Neighborhood" and the "Sesame Street Theme" recognized all over the world.
Koch Record's "Kids' Favorite Songs" CD contains familiar kids' ditties done in standout "Sesame Street" style. The 15-track title includes a rousing rendition of "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt" by Elmo And The Kids and "This Little Pig Went to Market" by The Oinker Sisters.
In "Sing the Alphabet," "Sesame Street" is at its educational best with songs for every letter of the alphabet from "ABC-DEF-GHI" to "Z-The Zizzy Zoomers."
The fourth new title, "Elmopalooza," features a star-studded line-up of musical guests singing along with the famous residents of "Sesame Street."
