http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/muppet/images/8/8a/Tmm_puppeteers.jpg - Tim, you are VERY visible in this picture (courtesy of Muppet Wiki - specifically highlights John Lanis and Tim Burton), in front of the pack, with Little Bird and Tessie Twiddlebug!

By the way, all this stuff about how the Sesame Street Muppets' eyes were powder-blue (because it photographs better) reminds me of many 1970's pictures I've seen in the book "Sesame Street Unpaved." I wondered why that was...

Hey thanks! It took me nearly 20 years to get a copy of that photo (Thanks again Was Once Ernie!), but this one clears up the "Landis/Buton Mystery". I tried for years contacting everyone for a copy of this, but no one had it, and the Henson Co. told me the photo didn't exist-LOL!

Even though when we posed they told us "we only want to see faces" I specifically held up the puppets while Nancy Moran teetered on that ladder knowing it would be the only chance to be posing with actual Muppets. Thanks so much again for letting me know of this.

Off-topic-anyone see my shark commercial?

Imagine meeting Kermit's "swamp creature" friend-a character from a scene cut from the film!
So is this him? Fred?

That night, Kermit takes a moonlight walk by the water.

[ He passes a hollow. In the darkness, two yellow eyes glow. The vague shape of a largish, shaggy thing, quite threatening, looms there. ]

Thing

Hi, Kermit...

Kermit

(very relaxed) Oh... Hi Fred.

[ The shadowy figure grunts and vanishes. Kermit takes a few steps, then stops. ]

Kermit

Oh wait, Fred... I'm leaving tomorrow and...

[ But Fred is gone. ]

Kermit

I never said goodbye.

[ Kermit turns and looks at the moon on the water. Camera pans to Kermit and his reflection, mirrored in the water. ]

Kermit

Rich and famous, huh?

Reflection

Rich and famous...
