Before anyone calls me a copy cat, may I note that I am the one who suggested this kind of thread to Vincent, and that I had plans to do this long before he ever did? Just saying...:stick_out_tongue:

Please note that this poem isn't really supposed to be read as a Muppet character's voice:

Porkpie Hat

I can play the piano
Wear a mustache
Be a telephone Pole
Or slip on the ice patch
But telling a joke
I could never do that
Without my beloved
Porkpie hat

I can borrow a car
Use a dummy
Play a squire
With a finger man chummy
But knocking them down
I could never do that
Without my fantastic
Porkpie hat

I can hide from Berle
Play Little John
Sing a showtune
Or be a lion
But being funny
I could never do that
Without my trademark
Porkpie hat

I loooooooove Fozzie. And when I think about it, he's hardly ever seen without his hat!
Good job.

Thanks Jaz. Glad ya liked it. I'm putting the finishing touches on a poem about another clothing item of a Muppet...it should be ready soon.

Doesn't rhyme, but who cares! I love the second poem!
Poems don't have to rhyme...in fact, non-rhyming poems are actually my personal preference.

Poems don't have to rhyme. I do believe this was a Haiku.
That was not a Haiku. A haiku is a three line Japanese poem that's first line has 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables, and third line 5 syllables.
