    A Few Questions

no not really, that was just a quickie animation/diagram It's kinda hard to explain how that works, so it was just easier to animate it. I've done diagrams for the same reason before, but i usually don't hold on to them.

    A Few Questions

if you're talking about those toy robot hands, that would probably be the easiest way to make a hand that can grasp, it's not really a whole lot of work, only three pieces for each finger one piece for the palm and thumb, one flexible plastic piece to move the hands, and one cable... little...

    Team America: World Police

I've heard that they were having problems and couldn't do half the stuff they wanted, but i think the real strenght of matt and trey is working with limitations. When they are forced to invent and improvise with what they have they do good work, i think south park is a good example of that...

    Horns horns horns

it is actually a clear cat toy that i cut open to get a plastic hemisphere and the eye part is a ping pong ball behind it so i can move the eye, but if you need a big eye you might want to try this site http://www.fxsupply.com/products/hemis.html it's basicly the same thing i used, only without...

    Horns horns horns

thanks guys you were alot a help, i ended up using a metal wire and bending it in the curve i wanted then i made a long triangle of foam and wrapped it around the wire, and tucked in tip in side of itself (lots of hot glue to keep it to stay together) then just some fine tuneing with the ol'...

i saw both episodes for the first time today. Great work on both of them, i'm not sure if it was just the computer i was on but the sound seemed a little out of sync on the second.

The best way to skin "fleece or felt" Puppets?

i haven't really been doing this too long myself, but i have tried sewing and hot glue guns and the sewing looks alot cleaner, and i don't even really know what i'm doing... actually i accidently sewed myself to a monster the other day without really noticing... but i suppose that could have...

    poor mans flocking

hello everyone I think I may have figured out a fairly inexpensive way of building a flocking machine at home.... I think from the flocking machines i've seen pictures and discriptions of i figured that they were powered by the amazing powers of static electricity(some one correct me if i'm...

    Monsters are fun

hmm, Flocked eh? this just brings up more questions and after searching the forum i know what flocking is, so i don't need to ask that one. now comes the fun part, how to flock without buying a $500 device ( off the top of my head i'd say i'd want to dye my molded foam head the color...

    Monsters are fun

hello again, I must say this is a very supportive group. and i see now why it's so big, making puppets is like eating chips you can't stop at one. since my last post i've built a few more puppets, probably will end up doing some shorts with them. http://www.elijahatkins.com/wip/monster1.jpg...

    greetings from a newbie

no, the simularity is purly accidental, he's suppose to be the president for an animated short i'm doing (having him a puppet is less actual animation, and a political statement ;) ), It won't be done untill after the election so went generic older guy, instead of basing it off a person...
