Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I saw this and thought was great. The script was well written. It was pleasing to the eyes because the movement was fluent and natural (especially when you see Janice playing her guitar moving across the Star Search stage). Most importantly I found myself laughing out loud which is something I...
I wish Annie Sue would get made, she is #1 on my wishlist. Also, it only seems right to immortalize at least one of Louise Gold's characters in plastic.
Series 9 looks like it should sell very well. The only figure I'm a little worried might not do so great sales-wise is Pops. He's not nearly as popular as Chef and Fozzie, and even Lips has being a Electric Mayhem member going for him. I'd hate see Pops be a poor selling figure like Clifford was.
I know some clips from some Charlie Chaplin films were shown. Also, if I'm not mistaken, some clips of the Chicago Bears were shown in the family tree episode. And I believe, some of the characters from the comic strip "Blondie" were featured in a much later episode.
I'll go again. I forgot to put some convention figures in my last post so I'll finish those quickly.
Convention Figures cont.
5.) Taminella Gunderfall with Frackle; She would come with her staff and the frackle would be the dripsnout frackle
6.) Super Gonzo; This would really just be...
I hope your veggies get made too, but I'm preparing for the worst at this point. Back in Spring when I saw about twelve Cliffords (regular & repaint) sitting at Suncoast for only $2.59 and several Crazy Harry and Daredevil Gonzo at Toys R Us at full price things looked grim for the line. And...
Since I'm the fourth to post I guess I get to do the convention exclusives.
But I'm not saying which convention which get which exclusive.
1.) Steppin' out Dr. Teeth with a standing piano; his hat would be able to stand (unlike series 1 which was molded in a fallen position). The arms to his...
What Palisades is hinting at will not (in my opinion) be a playset. I think it might (though it problaby won't) be a case of anything muppets. These muppets would be like Lego mini-figures in that you could change their heads, hands, head gear, bodies, or even eyes and noses.
My favorite accessories are two I don't have, Zoot's sax and Tuxedo Rowlf's piano. The detailing and realism to those two pieces is amazing, especially the fact that the saxophone can take apart and place in his case.
I wonder if Lips' trumpet will have a removable mouth piece and come with a...
If one last playset were to be made it should definitely be Vet's Hospital. Palisades could just take the muppet labs playset and make some changes to it, like switching the lab table with an operating table and completely redoing the walls to make them more like an operating room. Then just...
It's nice to see the red curtains background used on this box (I've always liked the curtains better than the current blue background). My one little complaint about the box is that it doesn't show Janice with the rest of the classic Muppet Show characters, otherwise the box and the figure are...
I missed out on series 3 with the exception of Lew Zealand. A new Zoot, Black Tux Lew, and an entirely new Scooter sculpt are the only figures who should really be needed. The Swedish kitchen had a relatively long run and Rowlf is coming with the backstage so they don't need to be reissued. If...
I have no Muppet Show memories, My earilest muppet memories are from Muppet Babies, Sesame Street, bits and pieces of Fraggle Rock, and a Muppet Christmas Special in which I belief Swedish Chef was trying to butcher Big Bird.
I remember when I first saw how the actual muppet version of Rowlf...
I went to Disney World to perform with my high school band class in 2003. We spent one day at MGM and what did my group I got put into do? Ride that accursed Aerosmith roller coaster and Tower of Terror three times each (the rides were fun but I've ridden coasters and launches more times than I...
I'm probably the only person who finds the Marvin repaint to be the best in the wave, but I like how the colors make him look so subdued. My opinion is likely to change once I have shifty-eye Sam.
These are the figures I'd like to see released in a upcoming wave:
1.) Zoot (In the clothes he wore in "The Great Muppet Caper"); he would come with his sax, the baseball diamond, and Rizzo as a bellhop.
2.) Annie Sue
3.) Prison Escape Miss Piggy; she would come with her motorcycle and...
Hello I was just wondering, how do you make Janice and Series 1 Kermit stand without there bases? The problem with my Kermit is he leans forward and falls flat on his face (I'd bend his legs but I'm worried I'd snap them off). Is there anyway to have him stand without him looking unnatural...
