Thanks for posting about that, it really is inspirational! Lately I've been really trying to just keep practising and keep making videos, even though they're very very far from perfect. Whenever I start worrying too much about trying to get everything 'right', I end up not really doing...

Ventriloquist Ronn Lucas - left handed but puppeteers right handed (which came in useful on Match Game!) And I'm not sure but I think Jay Johnson is left handed too.

The pod 4 I used couldn't move easily at all. It was stuck against the back wall too - I was standing behind it, so I was pretty much just stuck there flapping the top of the head. The counterweights made the lipsync easy but overall it was almost impossible to give it any real life.

Oh, absolutely, Blink. I totally agree, we will definitely need to let the company know about the problems we had. I would certainly hope that they would make some changes based on our feedback.

He truly will be missed. The work he did, even the stuff from years ago, still looks terrific now, better than a lot of the newer CG stuff. I mean, the Jurassic Park dinosaurs look a thousand times better than some of the ones in King Kong. He really was amazing.

Thanks guys. Hmmm, I don't really feel I can say which company it was because we've used them in the past for sets and props and will be doing so in the future as well. Thats the problem though really, they've treated it as a prop - needs to be sturdy (inch thick wood for the frame!) Still...

Well, we finally got our puppets for the show (which starts Friday) and, unfortunately, they're just awful! Pod 1 is a rubbery mess of latex which barely opens. Pod 3 is just too heavy for me, I mean there's no way I'm going to be able to use it. Pod 4 is okay, except that parts of it keep...

Wow, thank you so much Jinx, that's a big help! We'll be getting the puppets a week before the show starts so I will try to get as much time with it as I possibly can. I'm not sure who's doing pod 4 yet. They said it could either be done by one big guy or a couple of smaller people...
