Hello all,

I need to make a plush costume wich I want to spray paint with my airbrush. I am currently using a textile paint called Createx for this kind of job, but this stuff just coats it with paint. I have seen plush toys with airbrush colouring witch seems to soak the fabric to the root just like the original colour.
Does anybody know if they are just using textile dye or some special stuff?

Cheers,

Wouter

You can use dyes but consider your material. Test a small patch of fabric to see whether or not it will hold the dye. Then remember with dye that you have to make it darker than you think because a great deal of color washes out. I just use a high quality acrylic and spray it in thin layers. You end up with a better finished product.
Hope this helps.
