Another TMS Outline w/ Jerry Lewis!

There is already an outline with Jerry Lewis. So how about the next one?

STLYE: Late Season One (circa Valerie Harper, Twiggy)

DESCRIPTION: Fozzie is hosting Fozzie's Comedy Performance Audition Show.

OPENING THEME

"It's The Muppet Show with tonight's guest star Mr. Jerry Lewis! Wow!"

FOZZIE: "Hey! I heard someone inside a tall vertical log saying 'Wood you like to tell a joke for me?'"

JERRY LEWIS: At the closing number scene w/ bears that look like Fozzie.

GONZO: A small tree (bigger than a man) falls on him before he hits the gong.

CURTAIN

(The piano plays the theme when Fozzie enters for the introduction.)

FOZZIE: "Thank you, thank you and thank YOU! Good evening Fozzie Bear fans and welcome to The Muppet Show! This is gonna be a great show tonight, with our special guest star, the one and only, Mr. Jerry Lewis!"

(Audience cheers.)

FOZZIE: "And I have a special announcments. Today I am hosting a show called 'Fozzie's Comedy Performance Audition Show.' Three bears here, Biff, Bob, and Bill, will judge for the best performer of the audition. (reads the list) First up tonight is of course you know who... Hit it!"


OPENING NUMBER: Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah w/ Fozzie Bear in Dutch

(Fozzie does a comedy routine for this number in a Dutchess scene w/ Windmills & Dutch bears.)

BALCONY

STATLER: "You know that Fozzie Bear is better than I thought."

WALDORF: "You mean that fuzzy bear? The guy who's bearly Fozzie?"

(Both laugh.)

BACKSTAGE

KERMIT: "OK, stand by for the Guest Star Comedy spot. Fozzie, why are you doing this?"

FOZZIE: "I was thinking I could make another great show."

KERMIT: "How?"

FOZZIE: "I'm hosting A Routine Audition."

SCOOTER: "Hey, Kermit? If my uncle is in the audience, I want to be in every auditions. That would make ol' Uncle J.P. Grosse happy."

KERMIT: "So your uncle's name is J.P. Grosse."

SCOOTER: "I, Scooter, will be auditioning."

FOZZIE: "Anyway, Jerry is onstage. Oh! I can't wait to watch."

KERMIT: "What the hey?"

CURTAIN

FOZZIE: "OK! Moving right along is our guest star, here he is: Mr. Jerry Lewis!"

JERRY'S COMEDY SPOT

JERRY: "Hello there, boys and girls, it's Comedy Time! I, the Amazing Jerry, will now hypnotize this here banana. Say, If Lola Falana has a twin fruit, would that fruit be called Lola Banana?"

WALDORF: "Oh boy!"

STATLER: "You have a peel!"

JERRY: "OK, guys, time for a Banana split. Ahem, when I say the word 'Boo'.."

(The banana goes up.)

JERRY: "This here banana will go up in the air and--"

(Jerry notices that the banana is gone.)

JERRY: "Oh well."

(A bunch of bananas fall on Jerry.)

BACKSTAGE

FOZZIE: "Ha-ha-ha! I love it! Oh, I wished I did that."

JERRY: "Well, thank you, Fozzie. Say, whadayadasay, if I'm the guest star, perhaps I'm the star, I'm a guess, and I win. Nuts?"


(Peanuts fall on Fozzie.)

FOZZIE: "Wow, what a running gag."

AT THE DANCE

(The first shot is two trees.)

(The second shot is Rowlf & a female Baskerville.)

ROWLF: "You know, I'd do something that wood do something with."

BASKERVILLE: "What kind of answer is that?"

ROWLF: "Bark."

(The next shot is that loud girl & Herman.)

THE SHOUTING LADY: "Herman, At Christmas, I had a present from Santa, but it's just nothing, NOTHING!! -- nothing but Cereal!"

HERMAN: "Oh? Who are you that Santa said to you?"


THE SHOUTING LADY: "Mary Chrispmas."

(The next shot is the two trees from the first shot.)

MALE TREE: "Umm, question: What did one tree say to the other tree?"


FEMALE TREE: "What?"

MALE TREE: "'Please don't leaf me!'."

(Leaves falls down from the ballroom.)

FEMALE TREE: "Somebody lead the ballroom."

MALE TREE: "What? I don't see any trees."

UK SPOT: MUSICAL NUMBER: Turkish March [instrumental] w/ Rowlf on piano

(Like the other instumental piano songs in the first season, Rowlf makes wrong notes.)

BALCONY

WALDORF: "Ever hear of a Turkey March?"


(Waldorf notices that Statler is a turkey.)

STATLER: "Gobble Gobble Gobble."

TALK SPOT

(Kermit is not is not feature on this Talk Spot, Instead Fozzie talks to the guest star about himself.)

(After the Talk Spot, the camera cut to Hilda's Balloon Animals.)

HILDA'S BALLOON ANIMALS

(The piano intro music plays.)

HILDA: "Thank you, I, a 30 year old old woman, Hilda, will make balloon animals. Today's Balloon Animal is a butterfly. Got it? Huh? Huh? Huh? Here we go!"

(Hilda makes a Butterfly balloon, but quickly after the balloon is done.)

HILDA: "Ta-da"

(The balloon pops.)

HILDA: "Oops."

(Hilda explodes.)

BALCONY

STATLER & WALDORF: "Pop goes the weasel!"

(A weasel pops out of the balcony.)

STATLER: "No. That lady is what we call the Weasle."

MUPPET NEWSFLASH

THE NEWSMAN: "Here's A Muppet Newsflash! (enters) Dateline Oregon. Mr. John Applebee was the first man in America... to find a beehive that looks just like an apple. Mr. Applebee, can you tell us why?"


(Jerry Lewis as Mr. John Applebee appears onscreen.)

JERRY: "I found that beehive because..."


THE NEWSMAN: "Because?"


JERRY: "Because, they call me Mr. Applebee. Here I come!"


(Jerry enters the Newsroom.)

JERRY: "Here, can I interest you this?"


(Jerry shows up an apple beehive. The bees from that hive then chases the Newsman.)

CURTAIN

SAM: "And now, for that... whatever audition that is..., I am proud to present the singing team of Wayne and Wanda. I must get their autographs after they sing this song..."

WAYNE AND WANDA: Talk To The Animals

(After W & W sing their opening line, a herd of buffalos.)

BACKSTAGE

FOZZIE: "Next!"

JERRY: "At least I could do the closing number."

(Jerry shows up the number 3.)

FOZZIE: "That's funny. Let's do that number! Come on, everybody! LET'S PARTY!!"

(A group of bears come out.)

KERMIT: "Hey, that's--"


FOZZIE: "Don't worry, it's all part of the act. Haa!"


CURTAIN

FOZZIE: "Finally, Moving right along, once again, Mr. Jerry Lewis!"

CLOSING NUMBER: Wonderful Land of Foz w/ Jerry & Bears

(Jerry & Bears, including Fozzie, sing this parody on Wonderful Land of Oz.)

GOODNIGHTS

KERMIT: "Well, the show is supposed be what all other shows at this season are. But before we go, let's have a warm thank you to our special guest star, Mr. Jerry Lewis!"

JERRY: "Thank you, Kermit, for being on what I'm supposed to be on the show with all the craziness, blah blah blah, The Muppet Show tonight at this very very moment."

FOZZIE: "I want to make things more interesting."

KERMIT: "Well, we'll see you--"

FOZZIE: "Let me do it."

KERMIT: "I'M the host!"

FOZZIE: "We'll--"

KERMIT: "Argh!"

BOTH FOZZIE & KERMIT: "We'll see you next time on The Muppet Show!"

(Fozzie & Kermit fight, while Hilda, Scooter, and Fozzie-look-a-like bears appear in the goodnights.)

STATLER & WALDORF'S CLOSING COMMENTS

STATLER: "What's better, The 1st Season or the Second?"

WALDORF: "It gets better at each season."

(Leaves fall on S & W.)

It has great potential. It could be fleshed up a little. One thing I'm not too sure about is Wayne and Wanda. I'm not certain whether they would have sang Talk to the Animals.

I think it may be classified as a Rock song which Wayne and Wanda never tried to sing but please excuse me if I'm wrong.
Other than that it looks very great.

How about that?
The Screaming Girl is refered to as Mary Crispmas in this outline.
And the Guest Star Scene at the beginning is not the Talk Spot.
