SPECIAL GUEST STAR: JIMMY BUFFETT
OPENING THEME
OPENING NUMBER: Annie Sue sings "Tom, Dick or Harry" with the three-headed monster of the same names.
Statler: "I've heard about getting ahead in life, but that was just ridiculous!"
Both: "Dohhhh, ho ho ho..."
BACKSTAGE: Kermit wants a beach-like atmosphere for Jimmy Buffett. Scooter obliges and brings in sand from a local beach--complete with litter.
GUEST STAR: Jimmy Buffett sings "Cheeseburger In Paradise" with the Electric Mayhem against a beach backdrop.
BACKSTAGE: Scooter gets all the sand and litter out of the theatre, but this time he brings in something else from the beach...the water (provided by Sweetums, who dumps a bucket of it all over Kermit).
SKIT: "Veterinarian's Hospital"--Dr. Bob, Nurse Janice, and Nurse Piggy operate on a parrot.
Piggy: "This parrot is SICK!"
Rowlf: "He's not sick, he's resting."
Janice: "Either you're doing the wrong sketch or we're on the wrong show!"
Parrot: "Awk! Polly want a doctor!"
Rowlf: "Don't worry, I'm here."
Parrot: "Awk! Polly want a GOOD doctor!"
UK SPOT: Fozzie, Lew Zealand, and Gonzo sing "Ha Ha" (thanks to whoever it was that mentioned this idea.)
TALK SPOT: Kermit and Jimmy Buffett chit-chat, then sing "Caribbean Amphibian" together, recalling that they sang it on a Sesame Street special.
THE SWEDISH CHEF: The Chef tries to bake key lime pie, but can't find any limes, so he tries to substitute them with a chicken.
BACKSTAGE: Scooter tries again to bring some of the beach into the theatre, so he brings back some bathing beauties (a couple of Anything Muppets in bathing suits). Miss Piggy asks what they're doing there and Scooter said that Kermit wanted a beach atmosphere. Kermit shows up and before he can say anything, Piggy karate-chops him.
SKIT: Fozzie Bear does his monologue, this time including beach jokes. However, life isn't a beach for Fozzie, because, as usual, he has Statler and Waldorf to contend with.
Statler: "Do you think Fozzie should take up surfing?"
Waldorf: "Might as well, he's wiped out enough times on stage!"
CLOSING NUMBER: Jimmy sings "Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes" with all the Muppets.
CLOSING THEME
Statler: (in 1860's-style swimming garment) "Well, I'm off to swim in the ocean..."
Waldorf: "Just be careful! Remember, it's dried up a bit since prehistoric times! There are CONTINENTS now!"
