Greetings from the Count. OK, I know there are a lot of talented artists/drawers/painters here at MC. Well, it just so happens I'm in need of one of you gents. There's this series of characters I'm working on textually of corpse, including a collection of batty beauties and master monsters, the latter based on classic Muppets. The first one I happen to have ready is the living doll first introduced in my fictional story A Muppet Family Gathering. If anyone's interested and can help a blind batty brother out, please contact me via PM or E-mail through the forum's mailer.
Thanks, hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi Nicee. Well, I'm looking for illustrators to draw up images of my belfry's batty beauties and the master monster Muppet characters that'll fill up the castle. Along with whatever additional human creeps I might want to be present as part of the collection too.

The "first" character is my very own lovely living doll, introduced originally in my fanfic A Muppet Family Gathering towards the end of the story. Talked to zeldazipple, and she's currently helping me with that one. But if you feel you would want to step up to the plate, drop me a PM and we'll talk about it, as the more people working with me on this, the quicker I can get things sorted and finally get my act together as the plans for my female batty beauties come to fruition.

If you need further clarification, LMK too and I can send you the full disclosure of the scheme. Thanks and have a good night.

OK... Calling on my MC forum friends and fanfictional author peers to chime in. Maybe with your help I can get my act in gear. Will lay all the cards here in this post as to my internal schemes and why I keep waffling and wembling and getting unsatisfied with all the projects I start creating only to destroy in the blink of a mind's eye.

1 First of all, you may be familiar with Disney's Haunted
Mansion and the legend of how they have 999 souls roaming the
attraction. *They've never rully developed that to the fullest
potential and so I thought I'd do my version, adding that last soul to
make it a perfect 1000, a sort of 10x10x10 block formation. *But I
realized that even bringing in the master monsters I definitely want
to have make appearances and the secondary status creeps I've
developed some ideas of what they would be like, I won't get to so
high a total. *Oh aye, I'd get to about a quarter of the way, and it
may linger as a faint possibility on the horizon, I wouldn't be fully
satisfied. *At this point I'm putting that one on the back burner.
2 So what is it I rully want to create? *Well, with all these other
lines I get somewhat inspired/swept into...Wanted a full female
following of some small-sized critters that retain their um,
womanliness. *But what would provide a long-running and sufficiently
self-sustaining lineup that'd allow me to compete with such vinyl
merchandisers out on the market today? *Well, naturally, the thought
that crossed my mind was to have all the girl bats modeled partially
on the (and I'm treading with trepidation I don't know why I should
have so please don't react with first impulse) physical and facial
attributes of all Playmates from December 1953-Present.
3 That idea started to take root and I reasoned that such a campaign
would also provide the opening to bring in the master monsters without
running out of big names one at a time. *And since there's 50+ years
worth of centerfolds, another idea I pursued was (thanks to Disney
again) to bring in the monsters as representatives of each state of
the union, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico with
whatever master monster after that. *These were to be categorized
under the heading of "13th Souls", as there are twelve models for each
month of the year, and of course the anniversary girl.
4 Recent thoughts however have put a bit of a kaibosh on that... *Says
to myself, why should I pattern my bats after those girls if I feel
somewhat uncomfortable researching their names and the dates they were
featured as playmates, especially given I have no visual idea of what
each playmate looks like? *So I've decided to just do the designs of
the girl bats on whatever I wish, thus controlling the entirety of the
process.
5 So now that the decision is to have a long-running collection of
small-sized womanly critters the choice remains... What kind of
critter should it be? Reasonably, it should be some critter that
personally appeals to me since I'm the one creating this. The answer,
naturally, which fits the plan well is to make these womanly
small-sized bats.
6 Once that's settled... It'd be natural that these creepy cuties
have a home of their own or master base. And what doomicile would be
more perfect for a brood of batty beauties than a master castle.
Additionally, since these will each be individually numbered thanks to
the small marble number threaded to silver chains around their necks,
what better home than the Count's castle.
7 Now then... Because there are other monster Muppet characters like
Uncle Deadly, Auntie Eleanor (from fanfics of course), Mulch, and Dr.
Phil van Neuter, as well as the Ultragorgon... And because the
haunted home just wouldn't feel fright without the big names in
monsterdom present as well, I thought that some of these (owing to the
Muppet figure collection I have) could be brought in based on core
Muppets to make it feel more like home.
8 What does this have to do with fanfic? *Glad you asked. *See, the
master monsters, which can still be brought in one by one are what I
plan on focusing on. *Was thinking of doing some simple Counting Pages
where each would be merely introduced. *These would be one, two posts
long at the max. *The scarem of bats would still be worked on as the counting collection's main focus, and I'd
hope to talk to some talented artists once I've gotten the written
descripts to my liking to showcase along with the reading materials.
9 Problem is...
Should I have small batches of five girl bats for each master monster?
Should it be a complete run of ten?
Or should I stick with the plans of twelve girl bats for each master
monster, retaining the monsters under the "13th Souls" banner?
True, I could simplify things and go with the small batches of five
each, that'd get me the fullness of a thousand members in the main
collection with the monsters I want to have present. *And perhaps it would be best to work in small batches of five as this would allow me to bring in the master monsters quicker, although keeping the calendar plans explained above working in groups of twelve bats would permit me to create a greater wealth of variants instead of being confined to having the smaller batches of five centered around the geographical regional location represented by the masters
of monsterdom (if they represent such) or the particular specialty of
the masters themselves.
10 Another problem is when planning the variant ideas for the individual
girl bats how much blurring or crossover between the camp of
individual outfitting and creepy creatures would be permissible so as
not to take away any thunder from the main monsters' bank. *There are folks here who know me and I'd hope to get their help in batting around costume ideas for each girl bat so as to widen the scarem's appeal and hopefully tread onto these blurring waters as little as possible, though an occasional crossover would be OK.

Hope to hear from you guys and gals soon. Ideas are always welcome and I'd like to see this finally get off the ground and moving forward, even if in bits and pieces not to be updated for a long while due to other items on my agenda. Take care all...

*Hugs from Ed "The Count".

So you folks know... Already have two girl bats' descripts done and saved in my files. The first could be called a "New Year's" bat, as she has her New Year's top hat, tuxedo jacket, and champagne glass. The second is sort of a gothic bat with vampiric saberlike fangs and a fluttering robe stylewise similar to the one worn by Goliath from Disney's Gargoyles.
GuessI'm just sort of letting the idea come to me instead of forcing it. On that note, happen to think that Batty Beauty #3 might be a sort of bedtime bat, wearing a long trailing nightgown. LMK if you like this one as do I or if you have other sort of general ideas as to what the third in the line of girl bats' should be centered on.

Also... Because I have a few doubts, I'm giving you a sneak peak at the state representative monster Muppets.
Delaware: The Invisible Man (based on Beaker, Invisible Beaker figure, but Beaker nonetheless).
Pennsylvania: Quasibobo (based on Bobo the Bear Guard from his appearance in the Andie Macdowell MT episode).
New Jersey: The Jersey Devil.
Georgia: The Devil (based on the Jim Henson Muppet).
Connecticut: The Headless Horseman (based on Ernie), need to talk to Cath about help on this one.
Massachusetts: The Witch.
Maryland: Which of the following would be better suited to represent this state?
The Black Cat, or
The Raven.
South Carolina: Belfryra.
New Hampshire: The Golem.
Virginia: The Werewolf (based on Rowlf).
New York: Who else? My own namesake of corpse.
North Carolina: The Undertaker (based on Statler).
Rhode Island: Blackbeard the Pirate.
Vermont: Henry the Eighth (based on The Swedish Chef).
Kentucky: The Vitrul.
Tennessee: "Voodoo" Dolly Thwarton (possibly based on Polly Darton).
Ohio: Uncle Deadly.
Louisiana: Jack the Ripper (based on Lew Zealand).
Indiana: Jack O'Lantern.
Mississippi: Charon.
Illinois: The Magic 8-Ball (based on Floyd Pepper).
Alabama: The Boogeyman (a sort of Gordon Robinson Muppet, Gordon as portrayed by Roscoe Orman).
Maine: The Lobster Lady.
Missouri: Cerberus.
Arkansas: Damian (based on Johnny Fiama).
Texas: The Minotaur.
Florida: The Bunyip.
Michigan: The Wraith.
Iowa: Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater.
Wisconsin: The Frankenstein Monster (based on Link Hogthrob).
California: King Kong (based on Sweetums).
Minnesota: Jason Vorhees (based on Scooter).
Oregon: The Phantom of the Opera (based on Dr. Teeth).
Kansas: The Scarecrow (based on Bert).
West Virginia: The Mad Hatter.
Nevada: Oogie Boogie (in Muppet form).
Nebraska: Geryon.
Colorado: Anteus.
North Dakota: The Ogre (based on Fozzie Bear).
South Dakota: The Two-Headed Monster.
Montana: The Yowling Yahoo (based on Animal).
Washington: The Banshee (based on Janice).
Idaho: Which of the following would be better suited to represent this state?
The Evil Eye, or
The Boiler Master (based on Beauregard).
Wyoming: Alucard (a relative of the Count's).
Utah: Arachne.
Oklahoma: Cain.
New Mexico: The Bat Out of Heck.
Arizona: The Mummy (based on Zoot).
Alaska: The Yeti.
Hawaii: The Creature from the Black Lagoon (based on Kermit).
District of Columbia: The Griffin (based on Sam the Eagle).
Puerto Rico: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (based on Dr. Bunsen Honeydew), still need a bit of work/convincing on this one.
Not sure what monster or mythic creature Lips could be monstrified into becoming.

Please post your thoughts or chime in with your opinions, your feedback/suggestions are gladly welcome.

I'm still slightly confused. Are you saying you want ideas in design for 999 individual bat-women creatures?

No... Not necessarily. What I'm trying to do is gather ideas to bring in the girl bats one by one, building a sufficiently big enough total collection.
Each little group will then be set apart by the milestone marker, the master monster Muppet characters.

So... For fright now I'm asking about Bat #3, if you think she should be a bedtime bat wearing a nightgown or if you have any other suggestions I should consider.
When that one's done, if I can't come up with the idea for Bat #4 on my own, I'll come back and ask here. Maybe friends like Catherine, Kathy, Christy, Beth, Layla or even Prawny can help suggest outfit variations that can be the basis of each individual bat's persona.

Oh, and I'd like to hear what you think about the monster Muppets. Especially the choices for Maryland and Idaho, which you think would be better as a representative for those states.
Thanks, hope to hear from you guys soon.
