They do look a lot like the 1986 McDonalds US - Canada Muppet Babies pvc toys. cute!

They are quite different to those though. Definately not the same moulds or anything. \I think I like these ones better because Rowlf is included.

Unfortuantly, they do not come apart, they are just one mould.
