Yeah. And since we never see them, Doc is trying to get them to come to his party via the phone, but they hesitate up until the end, where you see two silhouettes and the doorbell rings after Doc and Sprocket ring their bells. It would imply a coming together even if we dont' get to see it.

Yeah I see where you're going there. Sometimes it does take an extra pair of eyes to see what other potential a story can have.

hey I LOVE that special! Now maybe I'm bias since I'm such a huge He-Man/She-Ra fan but the only part I really don't like is Bow's annoying song in the middle.
(Okay there's also the Idiot Ball moment when He-Man and She-Ra get rid of Horde Prime by simply hurling his ship back into space instead of capturing or killing him and thus ending the Etherian war right there but...)

And don't forget Queen Marlena is an Earthling so it does make sense for her and her children to celebrate Christmas.
I love it also.. not to mention the fact that it contains the best line in the history of 80s cartoons when Skeletor says "I don't know what's happening to me . . . but I must . . . save the children!" :batty:

The line itself is hilarious enough, but the delivery is perfect!

Yeah you can't be too hard on the He-Man & She-Ra Christmas special, it really is trying, lol.

A Special Sesame Street Christmas.

'Nuff Said.

It's nice to know that not every Muppet Christmas special is pure gold. That was a product of the 1970's. The random guests that just so happen to be there with no real explaination, the songs that have NOTHING to do with Christmas... and honestly, the one person in the special that SHOULD have sang something doesn't (Michael Jackson... too bad his SS contributions never went any further than that). Just all sorts of bland. And ONLY Big Bird and Oscar? Are we supposed to believe everyone else went on vacation at the same time?

That's the problem to me. I'd love a special that actually talks about all the different holidays. But often what we see is what's clearly supposed to be a Christmas special, but the creators being too afraid to call it that. And the other holidays barely get mentioned. Political correctness hasn't been a friend to tolerance.
I could go on a long long thing about that. I've only see on Channukka commercial in my life (one for Best Buy, and it was just a paid actor posing as a store manager about how some grandmother gave her granddaughter iPod accessories for 7 nights, and an iPod on the 8th)... I did like Virgin's Merry Chrismahanukwanzaa (or whatever it was)... but if you're gonna do "Holiday" generic you're either going to include ALL of the holidays or NONE of them... that way everyone's equally ticked off.

Now, there's a difference between true political correctness and this anal retentive correctness... TRUE PC is making everyone feel welcomed and accepted not mocking them (I.e. I'm fine with certain edits on certain old cartoons on general TV broadcast and deleting any offensive material for the younger ones) but the whole Happy Holidays thing is forcing Christmas tradtitions down everyone's throats, though... to be fair, the actual Christmas celebrations were borrowed FROM Pagans, and evolved over time from various European cultures...

Also to be fair, Channukka isn't really all that much of a consumerist holiday (not as much as Christmas) and Kwanzaa outright rejects commercialism and consumerism. A small drug store and a major retail megamart have the same size of Channukka selection. Like the small end cap in the back of the Christmas stuff. If I celebrated that holiday I WOULD be offended by that.

Solstice is an excuse for Atheist posers (as opposed to true ones) to celebrate the commercialism of Christmas anyway. If they were REALLY dedicated to the cause, they'd sit in their houses and bang their heads on the wall, like people who have to be alone that day.

I don't see why we can't celebrate ALL the holidays instead of just packaging all the Christmas stuff as generic Holiday stuff.

(I do NOT wanna get into an argument about how the fakey church and state separatists only pick easy, winnable battles... )

Personally I never understand why people think that's such a big deal. Would we prefer religious traditions to never evolve and never embrace parts of their cultural surroundings? As a Christian I have no problem with the fact that much of the holiday traditions came from pagan sources. It was a clear nod to diversity at the time. It's funny to me that people use this to discredit religion in some way. ::shrugs::

I have a problem with the idea of making the Turtles a rockband to begin with, actually. The songs are quite iffy... though Pizza Power is pretty righteous actually...
i know im partially messing with ya...its an awful special but i think that part of the reason i like it...so bad its good kinda thing

As bad as SSSC was, Oscar was still enjoyable to watch, though his sudden Heel Face Turn near the end with the kitten was pretty off-putting, if you know what I mean. :grouchy:
