The Rolling Stones' "Paint It, Black"

But seriously, best song ever? Wow, that's a real toughie! Fer me, it would be something from the 60s or 70s. I have over 600 fave songs (I counted a couple of years ago, there's prolly more now). But some of my all-time faves (and this is rully had fer me) - in no particular order- are:

  • 'Stairway To Heaven' -Led Zeppelin
  • 'Let's Get Together' -The Youngbloods
  • 'Hurricane' -Bob Dylan
  • 'Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In' -The Fifth Dimension
  • 'Sister Golden Hair' -America
  • 'More Than A Feeling' -Boston
  • 'San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Some Flowers In Your Hair)' -Scott McKenzie
  • 'Sunshine Of Your Love' -Cream
  • 'A Day In The Life' -The Beatles
  • 'Superstar' -Carpenters
  • 'Turn! Turn! Turn!' -The Birds
  • 'Goodbye Ruby Tuesday' -The Rolling Stones
  • 'You can't Always Get What You Want' -The Rolling Stones
  • 'Paint It, Black' -The Rolling Stones
  • 'Bohemian Rhapsody' -Queen
  • 'Touch Me' -The Doors
  • 'Ventura Highway' -America.
  • ETC ETC ETC!

I retract my previous statement, as I will probably tend to do every time I post in this thread.

The best song of all-time is now Blackbird by The Beatles.

Ohmygosh I love Blackbird! (I sing quite pretty, myself- toot toot!)
Can't say I have one absolute favorite though.

That is really hard. I'd probably have to say Imagine by John Lennon. It's such a powerful song.
