I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a good high-def video camera...I'm looking for one to shoot my show on (I plugged it in the Puppetry forum so I'm not gonna link it again :embarrassed:) and I have no idea where to start. Me and my friend are trying to get some nice pro-looking video quality for our move to vimeo (and since our show has...no budget, it'd help if the quality looked nice). I've been looking at this one:

But I'm not sure if that's the *best* I can do. If anyone here in the forum knows cameras...I need heeeeelp! (<guilt)

Honestly Mr. Penguin,

When it comes to technology. You get what you pay for. If you spend $300 on a camera, its going to look like you used a $300 camera. You can play with the footage as much as you want in whatever editing software you use, but it'll only be so good.

Now I realize you have no budget, but for the quality you're looking for; I honestly wouldn't spend any less than $1000 - $1500.

Sony is a good brand to go with, although they can get a little pricey. Canon is also good.

This is a low range HD semi-professional camera: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665551067
