Camilla, the Chicken

    Hello...

Through all the Muppet movies Camilla, the Chicken (Gonzo's girlfriend) hasn't said anything but "bock bock"...

However, I was watching a movie I have and there's a sketch with pigs singing "Lullaby of Broadway" and in the end a chicken who seems to be Camilla (she is the only chicken in the show who has different eyes) sings the last lines of the song...

Was that really Camilla? Does she pretend she doesn't talk english so that she doesn't have to have conversations with Gonzo?

(By the way, do you know if there are any plans to release "Camilla, the Chicken Action Figure"?)

    Thank you!

    Pompeo,

It was Camilla and it was Jerry Nelson who normaly performs Camilla.

"Ga ga! Ga ga!" Case closed.

  5. Camilla played the Dormouse in the Brooke Shields episode of "The Muppet Show" and she said a couple of actual lines/words throughout the tea party scene.

At least, I think that the chicken that played the Dormouse was Camilla.

It's been said that Gonzo just calls any chicken he is in proximity with Camilla, so therefore, any chicken can be Camilla, and there's no true Camilla.

    Cory,

Camilla was last seen in Muppets From Space , And i think Beaureguard was too, If not then Muppets Tonight.

I dont believe that about Camilla, She always had the different Blue eyes.

    See ya

Yeah Camilla has always been a different puppet looking very different. I remember when they had her on the Big Brother UK skits you could instantly tell it was the Camilla puppet.

    Bad pun.......sap......strength.....

Where I read about 'any chicken could be Camilla' was in the Dave Goelz interview on this very site....Maybe that's just how Dave sees it.

Oh what I meant about Camilla and BEauregard in M@WDW...I meant their last 'starring' roles.

About Camilla, I think thes always been more different than being some sort of anything/whatnot chicken. Heck, shes even attracted other guys to her(ie: in MFC)

Beaker how many times have you been to WDW? just wondering and where do you see camilla in it? anyway I also noticed she talks in The Muppet movie by saying Ga Ga and she is different I think she should come out soon with Gonzo to give more females for action figures(even if as an accesory)

Oh, Ive never been to WDW. What I was referring to was the great Muppets@Wald Disney World special from the late 80's.
(one of the best specials next to muppet family xmas)

From time to time youll hear Camilla in her own little way say different things, like admiration for Gonzo.

And yes, I agree we need Camilla in figure form soon. I was saddened to hear Gonzo wouldnt be coming with her...and were gonna have to wait a year for her to come out. Why couldnt Ken put Camilla with stunt gonzo this Fall? ack.
