Converting a Foam head into Fleece?

Does anybody have any pointers in converting a foam puppet head into a fleece covering. Let's say I have a character that I have developed in foam and then I want to cover the head in fleece?

if your using a sewing machine take the pattern and blow it up and make a seam allowance of at least half an Inch and sew them together.
