I'm going to be making a large puppet out of hi-density foam, so since it will lack some flexibility I will need to cut some of my edges at 45º angles. Does anyone know if there is a tool or method out there to help cut accurately at this angle?

Thanks in advance!

I just tilt the angle of the blade I cut at to 45º. Have you tried using a band saw? Depending on the shape of the pieces it could work quite nicely.

Interesting...So, am I the only one who thinks "Cutting Foam at 45!" should be the name of a Work-out dvd?

It sounds like a great name for a Muppet rock band to me

I do it the same way that Buck does, but the only thing I'd add is that it does take some practice to get the feel for it. I took a bunch of scrap foam (is there really such a thing?) and spent about 15-20 minutes just practicing angled cuts. It does get easier the more you do it!
