Did Kermit ever say this?

I saw this quote on the Chiasmus website, http://www.chiasmus.com.

"Time's fun when you're having flies." - Kermit the Frog

I thought it was very funny and witty quote. But, did Kermit the Frog ever actually say this in a TV show or movie? I think it's possible that someone might have just made it up and posted it on the internet, and it falsely got attrbuted to Kermit.

Yeah well even if Kermit didn't say that in a movie well you can certainly pass it of as kermit. It would sound like something he would say wouldn't it?

There's a little book that Kermit the Frog wrote once, and I have the audio tape book of it somewhere, and that quote's in that book.

Published 1993 by Pocket Books with the Muppet Press. Written by Kermit the Frog, as told to Robert P. Riger. Illustrated by Tom Payne. Jacket and book design by Michael PicIllustrations. Hardcover, 96 pages.

Each short chapter is Kermit's take on a recent book trend, including "Frogs of Madison County," "Seven Habits of Highly Effective Frogs," and "Frogs Who Hop with Women Who Run with Wolves but Can't Keep Up." The book is nicely illustrated with drawings of Kermit and Piggy.

An audio version of this book was also released.
