Hi all, I was wondering how many different versions of Emmett Otter are there? I have two. One on an old tape possibly off another tape or off the station that originally carried it; narrated by Kermit, more talking. One I bought with Kermit on the Cover and you only see and hear him once at the beginning, More singing. Now the new one without Kermit all together. What's that make three different versions? Why do they do this? Is there a complete whole version somewhere, or do you have to make it yourself?

There are two: the original broadcast version, which was released on home video in the early 80s, and a re-edited version which is the one available on the Columbia VHS/DVD. Thanks to HIT's reluctance to license Kermit's appearance, there will shortly be a third version; I'm not sure if it's known which of the two earlier ones theirs will be based on.

The differences between the first two edits are listed here: http://www.muppetcentral.com/help/faq/collectibles.shtml#10
