i've been looking at some photos on the furry puppet blog and i was wondering if anyone knew what they used to make their puppets? it looks like they're sculpted, but not sculpted as in taking a foam block and cutting it with scissors and an electric knife.

here's a link to the page i'm talking about:

I'll take yet another guess and say they are covering the foam with skin colored fleece. Probably antron as there are NO seams, and maybe they are shaving it a little or something. The puppets are amazing. Only with craftsmanship like that can you take such great close ups of all the details!

Edit as I'm guessing: ...unless it's some kind of super high density foam or rubber material that has a texture very similar to fleece! ha

i'm thinking that they might be poured foam or something similar to that.

Just further to what Ravagefrackle said, Zack from Furry Puppet has said numerous times here on the forum that he's a fan of carved rather than patterned foam puppets. Carving also seems to be a signature feature of (Furry Puppet builder) Maria Gurevich's style.

Holy Crap that is an amazingly well designed and built puppet. Great job Zach.
