If you want 1970s episodes, you can pick up the commercially-available Old School DVDs. There are two volumes, both of which feature five episodes each (the first ten season premieres altogether).

And there are several videos that were released in the 1980s, though they last a half hour. They feature material from the show, mixed with new footage.

Those videos include:
  • Learning About Letters
  • Learning About Numbers
  • Getting Ready to Read*
  • I'm Glad I'm Me*
  • Play-Along Games and Songs
  • Bedtime Stories and Songs
  • Sing-Along
  • The Alphabet Game*
  • Learning to Add and Subtract*
  • Big Bird's Storytime
  • Getting Ready for School*
  • Count It Higher: Great Music Videos From Sesame Street
  • The Best of Ernie and Bert*
  • Big Bird's Favorite Party Games*

A * denotes that it was never released on DVD, and therefore is out of print. Genius Products recently took over distribution of DVDs, so some may be out of print. Genius Products released Learning About Letters, Learning About Numbers, and Sing-Along as part of it's "Sesame Street Double Features collection, pairing each with a later Sesame Street video.

Still, those that are out of print can probably be foudn at your local flea market, video store, or library.
