I believe Sesame Street is currently the second longest running program still producing new episodes. "60 Minutes" is number one.

Why are the episode numbers not in order and/or missing?

For instance, you've listed Season One as beginning w/ episode 1 and following with ep 8. What about 2-7?

Were some episodes not considered SS Unpaved, even though they might have aired in conjunction with the Unpaved series?

If that's the case, than what factors determined or distinguished the 2 series as I was always under the assumption that Unpaved simply referred to the years in which the episodes ran, i.e. - the older classic SS?

No. Sesame Street Unpaved was a series of selected reruns from the first 20 seasons (1969-1989) that aired on the Noggin channel from 1999-2003. The term Unpaved has nothing to do with describing any era of Sesame Street.

Ah, so what did distinguish these "selected episodes" from others? Was it just a network term for their rerun ep's or was there any signifigance to the episodes chosen?
