Unfortunately, the pay's really crappy: they're only offering $7 an hour. Doesn't involve a lot of hours, but I still don't know how they expect to fill that position for so little money. It would barely cover the cost of gas it would take you to get to work and back.

Still, if you wanted an in-road/backdoor to getting a job there as a puppeteer, and you had the time to spare, it would certainly be a viable option.

The Center holds auditions every year, usually around April or May. I've auditioned twice and gotten some great comments and encouragement on my performance and experience, but after I found out they hire their performers only on a show-by-show basis it made me a lot less interested in working there. I just got married and must needs have more stable income. But they do pay their performers a pretty decent wage, from what I was told by the director.

And they put on one helluva show.
