I'm always awestruck by the performance that she gave in Labyrinth. She was just this kid who had very little experience to go on and was thrown into such an ambitious production and yet she handled herself like such a little adult. Her acting was intuitive and it was obvious even from way back then that this was a girl who was a -thinker- as well as an actress.

It carries on into all of her performances now. If you watch her in Requiem for a Dream, she is truly phenomenal. Her role is more minor but she owns her scenes. There's a real vulnerability that she brings to these roles, no matter how hard she has to be.

It's just amazing to see where her career has taken her and it's obvious she's a very loving and devoted mother. It makes me happy to see a child star hasn't gone the way of the deadbeats. I love this lady!

And, Jim Henson gets a nice round of applause. As is good and proper.
