Keeping Gordon away from the pool.

I remember an old skit where Gordon wanted to swim laps in Oscar's swimming pool and Oscar kept making excuses to keep him away. First he told Gordon the pool was freezing cold. So Gordon left and came back wearing a warm wet suit.
Then Oscar told Gordon about the man-tickling clam that lives in his pool. So Gordon came back with flippers. That way he can swim so fast, the clam wouldn't be able to catch him.
Then Oscar told him about the huge boulder that fell in his pool one day and Gordon might hit his head. So Gordon came back wearing a football helmet.
Finally Oscar said. "I just remembered. It's ladies' day!" And Gordon walked away in disgust while Oscar laughed. Then all the Sesame Street women cheered and rushed to the can wearing wet suits, flippers, and helmets, and Oscar groaned.
