Hi friends,

First post and looking for insights from fans who might do a better job catching details.

Kermit plays banjo in The Muppet Movie and guitar in the "She Drives Me Crazy" video lefthanded. (That's the Paul McCartney direction, if that helps you.) He is seated with a guitar on the cover of Kermit Unpigged playing it righthanded (the John Lennon direction).

Do you think this means he is naturally a left-handed player but did the Kermit Unpigged photo backward because it was a parody?

Or is there other evidence out there that he might play either way?

Well, most Muppets are exclusively left-handed because the puppeteer's right hand is in the character's face, leaving their left hand to control the character's arms. So, whenever Kermit it onscreen playing the banjo or guitar or anything, he does it left-handed.

The character on the Unpigged photo cover would be a poser, and my guess would be that whoever was doing the photoshoot just arranged it with the guitar to the right without noticing the inconsistency.

Sharp eye, though! I've never noticed that goof before.
