Trying to figure out what classics were done on Monsterpiece Theater:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Guys and Dolls
The King and I
Cyrano DeBergerac
Gone With the Wind
39 Steps (?)

What else? These are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.....

There was "Ali Baba and the 40 Theives." They actually didn't show that one, because the theives insisted that all 40 of them were introduced. That took so long, they ran out of time. :stick_out_tongue:

"Hamlet"
"Lethal Weapon 3" (both of which featured Mel Gibson, the latter with Danny Glover)

Okay, maybe LW3 isn't a classic, but it was spoofed.

Sincerely,

Does anyone know why Monsterpiece Theatre is no longer on Sesame Street?

My guess is that they don't have room for it with all these new segments and everything.

It's strange I was flipping through channels today and I came across "Sesame Street." I was a little bit surprised to see an animated segment. I thought since they changed the format, they don't show animated sketches anymore.
