As a guy who worked on him...nope. It's on his head to stay. Even the original gypsum model has them sealed together.Does it look like his hat/hair can be easily detached?
Wow! Well that's the way to do it. Great job. I would have never thought of that. If I had a little Scooter of my own, I would dress him in hats...um...not sure if that came out right.I actually made my own Steppin' Out Scooter out of the Movie Usher version... I used Sculpey to form the top of his hat and just plain white and black paint for the rest of his outfit. I really don't like it too much... and so far it's the only thing I've ever attempted to customize. Here he is:
