"I found good type fur at a store called JoAnns". "I'm gonna get white fur and dye it".
JoAnns Fabrics do sell good stuff, but the original muppet furs were made years ago, and many of the stuff they use now is custom made, (you need to order like 1000 yards/metere of that kind of stuff,
try CRSCRAFTS.com, they sell a great selection of affordable furs in many colors, not the best backings in the world, but they really good stuff is way expensive.
as for DYING FUR, all current fake furs are acrilyic based, or polyester, if you want to dye it you need to buy dye from ALGO, RIT dyes will not dye fur !!!!!!!!!
also be very careful about dyeing that stuff, you dont want to melt the fur in the pot while the water is boiling, and DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it will burn the the fur, and shrink the fibers , rinse in a washing machine on cold , with some fabric softener, then spin dry, then hang it out to dry, you will then need to carefully restore the fur using a HAIDRYER , to blow the fabric pile out , and realse the kinkyness of it.
