Muppet Movies at the Dryden Theater in Rochester, NY

For anyone in (or who wants to drive to) the Rocheter, NY area, the Dryden Theater at the George Eastman House will be showing Muppet Movies over the next few Sundays.

The Muppet Movie - Sun. November 26th, 2PM and 7PM
The Great Muppet Caper - Sun. December 3rd, 2PM and 7PM
----TGMC will be preceded by a showing of 'Time Piece'
The Muppets Take Manhattan - Sun. December 10th, 2PM and 7PM
The Dark Crystal - Sun. December 17th, 2PM and 7PM
The Muppet Christmas Carol - FRIDAY December 22, 8PM and
SATURDAY December 23, 5PM

I may x-post this to Fantasy Worlds due to The Dark Crystal.

oh my gosh! this is sooooOOOO cool, and Rochester NY is ONLY like 40mins from me! nice to know there is a fellow Muppet fan near me too! :smile: :wink:

Boy, I really wish I'd been on the forum a couple of days ago. I've been wanting to see TMM again on the big screen for a long time, and it looks like I missed it again.:cry:

Aw, man! I just realized they're showing the cropped versions!!!:grouchy:

Oh, well. I've still never seen it in the theater.

Wait a minute... 35mm is cropped, right? I'll double-check.

35mm means they're showing the FILM (which is good and bad). That's good because you're seeing it as it was originally shown (1.85:1 ratio, if they make the whole thing fit on the screen :wink: ). The bad is that it will also LOOK like it was filmed 25 years ago (no nice digital restoration or anything).

OH! YAAAAAAY! Even cooler! There's something so nostalgic about it looking like that.

Only one hour till I leave to go see my absolute favorite Muppet movie ever made! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!

Was anyone from the forum there last night?

I was surprised to see the lack of children there. The majority of the people were adults, which was so cool! It was pretty full, too.
