For anyone in (or who wants to drive to) the Rocheter, NY area, the Dryden Theater at the George Eastman House will be showing Muppet Movies over the next few Sundays.

Boy, I really wish I'd been on the forum a couple of days ago. I've been wanting to see TMM again on the big screen for a long time, and it looks like I missed it again.

Aw, man! I just realized they're showing the cropped versions!!!

Oh, well. I've still never seen it in the theater.

Wait a minute... 35mm is cropped, right? I'll double-check.

35mm means they're showing the FILM (which is good and bad). That's good because you're seeing it as it was originally shown (1.85:1 ratio, if they make the whole thing fit on the screen ). The bad is that it will also LOOK like it was filmed 25 years ago (no nice digital restoration or anything).

I was surprised to see the lack of children there. The majority of the people were adults, which was so cool! It was pretty full, too.
