Ok, I see alot of titles, I guess to movies or something, and I'm really starting to get boggled down. I have no idea what people are talking about when reading threads. I guess they are shortening the titals of movies by using just the first letter of each word. Like for muppets in space, they'd say MIS. But I'm really getting confused. Anyone want to give me a run down on what the common ones to list like that are?

Other times you may see people may use short-hand in a post to save them from typing long things out over and over. But they will usally explain what they mean or it is easy to figure out by context/subject of the post. For example a poster posting about Bert and Ernie my not say "Bert and Ernie" the whole way though, but "B&E" may be used as a shortened version inside the text too. Or a post about the 'Fraggle Rock: Where it All Began: Special Edition' DVD may be refered to later in a post as WIAB:SE. Sometimes you just have to figure it out, or ask.
